Provisional Ballot

Damn. I goofed. My vote was entered today as a provisional ballot.

I had an absentee ballot because I had planned to be out of town this week.

Plans changed, so I went to my polling place this morning. It's a privilege and a thrill, voting day has always been exciting to me. We temporarily have the best voting system in LA, InkaVote, until the unverifiable Diebold machines are ready.

So everything is set - except I don't have the absentee ballot. They need the absentee ballot to assure I'm not voting twice. I threw it away a week ago.

My vote went in a pink "provisional" envelope. I can telephone in 40 days to see if they accepted it. Damn.
